Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. It is an honor to serve the Roanoke Valley and the Commonwealth as a Member of the House of Delegates representing the 17th District. The four years I have been in office have flown by and I have treasured every minute I have been able to serve. It is a privilege to be able to walk the same halls and grounds that great Virginia legislators such as Jefferson and Madison walked. With your support, I look forward to continued service to the citizens of the Roanoke Valley.
First and foremost, and above partisan politics, I work to represent the citizens of the Roanoke Valley. The most important thing for me is to properly represent the people I serve, putting our needs here in the Valley above all other interests. Protecting our share of the transportation trust fund and winning funding for some of our most important cultural institutions are two such issues.
I am very proud of my legislative record to date. I have successfully sponsored 45 legislative bills in just five years on matters including boosting school safety, improving our mental heath system; fighting domestic violence; redeveloping our inner cities; protecting and creating railroad jobs; providing incentives for energy efficient buildings; improving highway safety and protecting health insurance consumers. I am a committed advocate for schools, mental health reforms, and transportation improvements.
